GET ON A ROLL
Pair up for a contest in which the object is to finish with the biggest snowball. The contest ends when the teams can no longer roll their entries or when you run out of snow.ROPE TOW
Team up for a slip-sliding variation of tug-of-war. Tamp down a wide, shallow trench in the snow to serve as the midline. Then, take up positions at the ends of a long, thick rope and let the tugging and towing begin. Whichever team pulls the entire opposing group over to its side of the trench wins.STRIKE OUT
For this pitching contest, first mound up snow to create three bases and a pitcher's mound. They should each be about 2 feet high and 20 feet apart. Next, build a tin can pyramid on each base. The challenge is to knock down the stacks in order from first to third base by throwing snowballs from the pitcher's mound. The child who succeeds with the fewest pitches wins. Those are some fun games if it snows but here are some fun games for a non-snowy winter:
DANCE PARTY
At this dance party you can slip, slide, glide, and dance away. Dancing is a good way to exercise and have fun at the same time. Either you can have a freeze dance or just a regular dance party, either one is fine. When playing freeze dance one person plays music then the other people dance when the person playing the music stops the music everyone has to stop. Anyone who does not freeze is out.YOGA
Doing yoga can help stretch your muscles so they don't stiffen up. Yoga can be fun and done at home. It is fun and good exercise and it can really help your body. You will not regret doing it! Try doing these poses:- TREE POSE - All you have to do is put one of your feet on the other leg's upper thigh and put your hands clasped together in the air. Balance and then try the other leg.
- COBRA POSE - First lay down on your stomach then lift your upper body up on your arms and curve up.
- DOWNWARD DOG - Bend over in a triangle pose with your butt in the air and your hands and feet on the ground. If you want wag your tail! :)
